Jeffrey A. Bronster is an experienced litigator, handling complex civil and criminal cases in state and federal courts for more than 40 years. His clients range from local businesses and individuals to international corporations, and he has litigated cases on their in behalf across the country, including the courts of New Jersey, New York, Florida, California, and Pennsylvania.
After receiving a Juris Doctor degree from the Syracuse University School of Law in 1979, Mr. Bronster spent 10 years serving as a state and federal prosecutor: first for the Office of the Kings County District attorney, and then as a Special Prosecutor for the United States Department of Justice, Organized Crime and Racketeering Section, Newark Strike Force. He represented the government in more than 70 criminal trials, and convicted numerous organized crime figures, including the Boss of the Genovese Crime Family.
After leaving public service, Mr. Bronster became a partner in the prominent litigation firm of DeCotiis, Lundsten & Bronster, handling white collar criminal cases and complex civil litigation. For the past 25 years he has maintained a solo practice, focusing on civil and criminal litigation in north and central New Jersey, as well as in the United States District Court.
Practice Background
While Mr. Bronster has successfully pursued many different types of civil actions, for more than 25 years he has developed a particular specialization in first-party insurance coverage, pursuing individual and class action lawsuits on behalf of New Jersey residential and commercial property owners against their insurance companies for fire, flood, and other losses. He has successfully represented policyholders on countless occasions against virtually every major property insurance company in the state, and aggressively advocates for the rights of the insureds.
